Financial Q2 results for 2008
Mandriva today announces its financial results for Q2 2008. Sales were 1.26M€, operating revenue (taking into account external funding for research projects) was 1.47M€, operating expenses were 1.76M€ and operating loss was 0.29M€.
Compared to the corresponding quarter a year ago, sales and operating revenue grew by 25%, expenses decreased by 3% and operating loss was reduced by 56%.
Compared to the previous quarter, sales decreased by 4%, expenses grew by 6% and net loss grew from 0.13M€ to 0.35M€.
Revenue for the OEM Business Unit was 34% of the total, for the Corporate Business Unit, 50% and for the Community Business Unit, 16%.

- On the OEM front, more agreements took place and several netbooks based on Mandriva will be available in stores in the Fall.
- On the Corporate front, while deployments are ongoing, we reached an important step in our product road map by delivering the remote distribution and inventory module. These can be now be tested at https://my.mandriva.com/pulse-2/preview/.
- On the Community side, we shipped Mandriva Linux 2008 Spring, which was well received by users and the press.
